Embattled New York State governor Paterson conducted his first campaign tour for his race as governor. He dropped from the race 5 days later as support dried up.

2 Exodus 7:25-50
25And 7 days passed after Yahvah had struck the river.
1Then Yahvah said to Moses, Go to Pharaoh and say to him, Yahvah says, Let my people go that they may serve me.
2And if you refuse to let them go, look, I will strike all your borders with frogs;
3and the river will swarm with frogs, which will come up and enter into your house and into your bedroom and into your bed and into the houses of your servants and of your people and into your inner chambers and into your kneading troughs;
4and the frogs will come up both on you and on all your people and on all your servants.
5And Yahvah said to Moses, Say to Aaron your brother, Lift up your hand with your staff over the rivers and over the streams and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come on the land of Egypt.
6So Aaron lifted up his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.
7And the magicians did the same with their enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt.
8Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said to them, Pray to Yahvah, that he may take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go that they may sacrifice to Yahvah.
9And Moses said to Pharaoh, Appoint a time; when I will pray for you and for your servants and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your house?
Paterson took over the governorship of New York on an earlier replay of this same text. That he would leave roughly on this date is a great match.
