2008-06-09: Neglected Date

This date is skipped by the plague series of dates, but it is within the 3 days of the plague of swarms (flies).

When the Pope visited Washington DC and New York City in April his public meetings mapped to each of the Plague related dates in 2008 and January of 2009. (See charts page 724.)

His public meetings included a stop at Catholic University of America on Wednesday afternoon, beginning at 4:30 PM. This venue folds through the timeline for his visit to June 9, 2008.

The nature of his visit suggests there should be a Bible Time related prophetic story for this date, just not from the plagues. At present that supporting Bible story is unknown. But, on the strength of the Pope's prophetic actions, and on the strength of the fulfillment headlines, I'm reporting a fulfillment as though there were a supporting Bible story. I suspect, when the tooling gets further along, that the supporting story will be found.

Prophetic Components

Starting at 4:30 PM the Pope began 3 public meetings on the campus of the Catholic University of America. The first was with a group of 400 assembled Catholic educators. The second was with 150 representatives of 5 non-Christian religions. The third was a planned meeting with Jewish leaders, but the third meeting was cut short.

There was also a private meeting with the Pope on the CUA campus that involved 10 journalists. NBC's Tim Russert and CNN's Wolf Blitzer were 2 people that were at the private meeting.

The public first sub-venue for the afternoon at CUA was a meeting with 400 Catholic educators assembled from across the United States. From the 400, there were 200 representing primary grades, K-12 and another 200 representing colleges. Commentators on the video for this meeting said that the venue had been chosen because it was like the upper room where Jesus met with his disciples.

The backdrop of the stage included 3 large banners, the center banner the taller of the 3. Banners arranged this way often are parables for the 3 crosses on Golgotha, though this date folds weakly to the crucifixion of Jesus.

The Pope's speech was long, and covered a great deal of ground. He reviewed the history of Catholic education in America and its value to the society at large. He had a sub-theme that focused on neglected students, such as Black and Native American students in history, as well as the many educators themselves working away today in relative obscurity. This speech provides the title for this date report, the neglected date and young people who are often neglected.

There are 2 themes in Jesus' parables dealing with children that are most likely reflected in this meeting. First, he made a repeated point to not prevent children coming to him, since we must all approach Jesus as children ourselves. In effect this line of parables deals with Jesus admonishing church workers to not neglect the children too.

Jesus' parables about children also reflect on the most famous set of children in the Bible, Jacob's 12 sons. This second general application of Jesus' parables is seen in the fulfillment headlines. More on that below.

The second venue on this afternoon was a gathering of 150 representatives from around the United States of various non-Christian religions. Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddists and Janes were represented in the room.

2 notable features of this meeting stand out in the videos. First, the chair where the Pope was seated when giving his speech was in front of a large set of windows. Outside the windows was a large pond. While he was speaking a bird landed in the pond and began to bathe in the water, causing waves in the pond. The second feature of this venue was an extended gift exchange. This included, for example, a Koran given to the Pope by the Muslim representative of the group.

The 3rd venue of the afternoon was also on the CUA campus, but this time was a specially assembled group of Jewish leaders. The Pope would also visit a Jewish Synagog in New York City, but this time, he worked the crowds, shook hands, but then gave his prepared speech to a representative of the group and then he quickly departed.

This departure was odd, because TV coverage which had been planned for the meeting was cut off at under 15 minutes. It left the commentators at a loss to explain what had just happened.

Fulfillment

The theoretical time for the fulfillment is on the same 30 day cycle as all the other plague related fulfillment dates. In this case June 9, 2008, is the indicated date. Theoretical time, if it should matter, is in the morning on the east coast of the United States.

Part I: Midwest Storms/Flooding

The week before the exact prophetic date included a massive assortment of storms that swept across the central United States. The picture at the right shows rainfall accumulation across the central part of the United States for the 7 days ending June 8, 2008. These massive rains left behind massive flooding along the region's rivers, especially rivers in the center of the rainfall areas.

By the middle of the following week parts of Iowa, especially Cedar Rapids, were experiencing flooding never seen since records have been kept. The flood waters crested in Cedar Rapids on Friday, June 14. Des Moines was expecting flooding as the same flood water moved down stream.

In Winsconsin 13 dams had failed and many parts of the state were also under flood waters.

Barge traffic along a 200 mile stretch of the Mississippi River had been suspended and a flood wave had started moving down river, headed eventually for the ocean at New Orleans.

The plague period itself began May 10, and runs into early September, and it is the plague of swarms, though commonly called the plague of flies. This storm system is simply one part of the series that should last into September. Matched to the Pope's visit, this flood system is indicated by the bird in the pond as seen in the second venue for the afternoon at Catholic University.

Part II: Quake Lakes Top

China was severely impacted by a M 8.0 quake on May 12, 2008, 2 days after the theoretical time for the start of the Plague of Flies. The 2 day delay from theory appears related to the 88 days from the time of the plague to the start of the Olympics, on August 8, 2008. That Olympic opening is exactly on a plague series date and plays to the Chinese sense that 8 is a lucky number, though many are now considering it a bad omen.

On this particular date the quake lakes formed at the May 12 quake started to drain. The largest and most dangerous of roughly 30 lakes was first breached on Friday, June 6, 2008, but only a small amount of water crested the dam and flowed through the sluce. The water level in that lake continued to rise across the weekend.

The water level finally peaked on Monday, June 9, 2008, after sunset in China. This is within our ability to measure at the exact theoretical time for this prophetic event. (6:00 PM TMMT in Jerusalem, which happens a few hours after sunset in China.)

The BBC has a photo gallery and related article on the release of this water. (BBC article of downstream

Chinese news services also have extensive coverage.

Part III: Bush's Trip to Europe

On the morning of June 9, 2008, United States President Bush departed for a "Farewell" trip to various capitals in Europe. The trip is expected to last 6 days, completing on June 16, 2008.

Bush himself has been playing the prophetic role of Pharaoh and is typically involved in fulfillment headlines. So his departure on a significant trip is a typical fulfillment headline. His flight to Europe crossed the theoretical hour of the headline.

President Bush visited the Pope at the Vatican on Friday, June 13, 2008. He was honored by meeting Pope Benedict at St. John's Tower on the Vatican grounds.

The venue for the meeting, in a "tower" matches the "upper room" nature of the Pope's visit to Catholic University Educators in what was described as an "upper room" meeting with Church leadership.

This particular day folds through the charts (page 738) to October 14, 2001, when Osama Bin Laden warned westerners not to fly in planes, or live in towers. This is an odd match.

Laura Bush was also in the news on the trip, having visited Afghanistan on her way to Europe. She attended a donor's conference and helped raise funds to pay for Afghanistan reconstruction. Originally planned for Paris, her press release was from Rome.

The original invasion of Kabul, Afghanistan, matched Solomon's gift of Cabul, and Hiram's response was to call the place "good for nothing." Or, said more politely, "neglected," the theme for this particular set of prophetic events.

The Pope's April meetings with representatives of other religions included a significant gift exchange and these donor gifts for Afghanistan, a non-Christian nation, are another significant prophetic match.

The various national capitals in Europe are mostly sons of Jacob, the "kids" that were the subject of the Pope's visit. This is yet another match.

This trip does not include a visit to Israel, one of the few sons of Jacob skipped in this trip, so that explains why the Pope Benedict skipped his last speech that night with the Jewish representatives.

This is being called Bush's farewell trip, and this was the last public venue in the Pope's visit to Washington DC. The Pope said farewell to Washington DC and departed the next morning for the UN in New York.

More:

There is a strong chance that the events of this week are following stories from Luke chapter 13. More on this idea follows below. In the case of Bush's visit to the Vatican there is a chance that his visit is seen in the last story in Luke 13:

Bush would be playing the role of Herod, and the Pope would be playing the role of Jesus, and the story becomes a warning about the rest of Bush's term.

Part IV: 4 sigma financial event

The entire plague series began when the secondary market for mortgage backed securities siezed up in July of 2007. Financial market headlines have continued for nearly a year.

On Monday, June 9, 2008, there was a sudden spread in the interest rates for various duration US treasury bonds. Financial analysts indicated that the statistical likelihood of this happening by chance was measured at 4 sigma. The article is here.

Part V: Boy Scouts Killed In Iowa

On Wednesday evening, June 12, 2008, a group of Boy Scouts were on a week long leadership development campout in western Iowa. At a little past 6:23 PM local time a tornado touched down about 12 miles west of the camp traveling east-north-east. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning which was picked up by campers who immediately took cover in the few buildings on the grounds.

There isn't much that can be done when a tornado directly strikes the building being used for shelter. For 8 terrifying seconds the tornado was on top of the group, totally destroying the buildings at the camp. Of the 95 people at the campout, 40 were injured and 4 were killed, mostly by falling bricks from the chimney.

The scouts had a tornado preparation drill the day before, and after the tornado passed, they began immediately to take care of the injured. It took awhile for emergency responders to reach the site because there were so many trees that had fallen in the storm.

The next day various members of the scout troop were interviewed on national television. In nearly every interview they confessed their faith in Jesus to the viewing audience.

The Pope's visit had stressed the need to pay attention to the needs of young people. This tragedy is the event that matched the Pope's warnings. Jesus used it to witness to the nation.

Note that there is a strong possibility that this was an echo of the story in the Book of Luke where the tower of Siloam falls and kills 18 people. (The tower in Luke 13 being the chimney in the Scout camp.) Jesus' words ring out today, just as they did then.

43 Luke 13:4-5 4Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.(KJV)

43 Luke 13:4-5 4Or those 18, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.(KJV/NC)

43 Luke 13:4-5 4Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (ASV)

43 Luke 13:4-5 4Or those eighteen upon whom the tower in Shiloha fell, and it killed them; do you think that they were greater sinners than all the other men who live in Jerusalem? 5No, but I say to you that unless you repent, all of you will perish like them. (LAM)

43 Luke 13:4-5 4Or those eighteen upon whom the tower in Silo'am fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who dwelt in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."(RSV)

43 Luke 13:4-5 4Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them -- do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."(NIV)

43 Luke 13:4-5 4Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them; do youP think that they were worse offenders than all the men who dwell in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, no, but, unless youP repent, youP will all perish in the same way.'(WEB)

43 Luke 13:4-5 4Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them; do you think that they were worse offenders than all the men who dwell in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, no, but, unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.'(WEB/HNV)

43 Luke 13:4-5 4Or those 18 on whom the tower in Shiloha fell, and it killed them; do you think that they were greater sinners than all the other men who live in Jerusalem? 5No, but I say to you that unless you repent, all of you will perish like them. (BRB)

The Book of Luke is not fully charted, but there are reasons to think that the entire chapter of Luke 13 applies now. This includes the 18 years mentioned several times in chapter, an interval since the first persian gulf war. The 3 days and 3 year references in Luke 13 are matched now, to this 3 days of this plague of swarms.

Towards the end of the chapter, Jesus sends word to Herod and in that word deals with with going up to Jerusalem, and how no prophet can die outside the city. The main theme for the July 2008 prophetic stories is going up to Jerusalem, so Luke 13 probably does apply here. The other key thought, though, is there must be a political leader like Herod to whom such a message matters.

Part VI: Kansas State University hit

There have been many tornado touchdowns this year. Selecting specific events as signficant is hard, since there is usually little reason to indicate one as more important than another. The case of the KSU tornado is worthy of metion here.

The same storm system that caused the tornado at the scout camp also spawned a tornado outside Manhattan, Kansas, the home of Kansas State University. After touchdown, the tornado moved along the ground for an estimated 30 miles.

When it finally lifted, an estimated $20 Million in damage had been done to Kansas State University facilities, including the destruction of a wind-erosion test facility and extensive damage to the university's nuclear reactor.

When the Pope visited the Catholic University of America campus, his first speech was on the topic of young people, and in his "upper room" audience was 200 people representing K-12 education and then another 200 representing college age students.

This particular storm system made national news because it struck and killed 13 and 14 year olds in a leadership training week, and because it struck the campus of Kansas State University. This campus destruction appears to be the matched plague for the Pope's warning to pray for young college age students in the United States.

Part VII: Death of NBC's Tim Russert

On Friday afternoon, at 1:30 PM local time, June 13, 2008, the host of NBC's Sunday morning show Meet the Press died suddenly of a heart attack. His death shocked the nation's media, since he was considered the top political journalist in the United States.

Tim was trained as a lawyer and began his career as an aid to New York politicians. He eventually went to work for NBC and was instrumental at landing the Today Show's first TV interviews with Pope John Paul II. By 1991 Tim took over the Meet The Press show and eventually redefined the format for Sunday Morning news.

Besides arranging for the famous Today Show interviews of Pope John Paul II, Tim also had is son Luke christened by John Paul II.

Pope Benedict's visit to the CUA campus included a private session with 10 people that the President of CUA had selected for special recognition by the Pope. These 10 included CNN's Wolf Blitzer and NBC's Tim Russert. Tim had been active in many CUA events, he was a commencement speaker and had been a jurist helping to select the recipient of a $1,000,000 gift.

That same CUA campus visit by Pope Benedict in April folds to the prophetic events of this week, and so Tim's death is an exceptional match.

It is also important to note that earlier in the week Tim had traveled to Italy to celebrate his son Luke's graduation from Boston College. While in Italy this same week Tim had held another audience with Pope Benedict XVI. Interweaving of Tim's life and the Pope's relationship to the United States is a strong undercurrent of this particular headline.

While Tim was best known for his appearances on NBC, he was also an author of 2 best-selling books, both dealing with the relationships between fathers and sons. In 1995 he was voted father of the year and the timing of his death, 2 days before father's day was also noted by many as profound.

These off-camera aspects of Tim's life also play directly to the theme for the events of the week, paying attention to the needs of neglected young people.

It is also hard to imagine the rest of the 2008 election cycle without Tim's commentary and contribution to the national dialog. His name, Timothy, means honor, and in some sense honor has died in the United States.

Like the death of the 4 scouts in Iowa a few days before, the US media could not ignore Tim's faith, and most of the tributes given about him across the days that followed, had to focus on his faith. Even though he was not in a place to preach every Sunday morning, his death caused many Americans to have to acknowledge that Tim was indeed a man of faith.

More:

Tim's son's name is Luke, and there is a chance that Luke chapter 13 stories are informing events of this month. If so, then we would expect to find references that might apply to Russert with Luke 13. His son's name is already a match, but there is more.

The media have reported that the exact cause of Tim's death was a heart attack. This is likely the immediate cause of death as listed on the death certificate, but this is not necessarily the end of the story. As Russian alternative media nearly always do, they are reporting Tim's death as a murder, though they fail to explain how. Of course if someone knew Tim's medical condition then certain drugs could easily trigger a heart attack.

Finally, another US news source did a more complete review of Tim's medical condition and asserted, as a warning to other Americans, that Tim's death was preventable if he had been more careful about his diet and exercise. See the Natural News article: Was Tim Russert Killed by Heart Medication?

In the Natural News article the author mentions several medical conditions that are visible in Tim even on Television and one of those conditions is an excess build up of water in his system. This can be seen in Tim's facial tone. Death by water is of course a map to the flooding in Iowa. It is a personal level application to the same general plague.

Death by water is also the root meaning of the Biblical disease "dropsy." Modern medical definitions are narrow, while the Biblical terms are general. Any modern disease that has an aspect of water building up in someone's system is considered Dropsy.

Dropsy only occurs 1 time in scripture, and it is the key medical condition in the first story in Luke chapter 14.

Of course this time Tim wasn't healed, but his medical condition is yet another match to these stories in Luke.

Indeed, notice how strongly Tim maps to this passage. Tim Russert was the most important Sunday morning TV personality in America. He was prominent in the political circles of the country. This particular story is dealing with prominent pharisees and it takes place on the Sabbath which was Tim's day to perform. Tim served America political bread every Sunday. Tim also ran the Washington offices of NBC News, it was his house, to use Biblical vocabulary. American visited it every Sunday when they tuned in to watch him perform in his studio.

The passage immediately preceding this one, at the end of Luke 13, deals with a visit to Jerusalem, which is where Tim had been (the Vatican) the day before his death.

Notes on NBC

Tim Russert worked for NBC Universal, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Electric.

NBC Universal has been seen on the charts before.

There was a fire at Universal Studios on June 1, 2008, that was an almost exact prophetic match to the original opening of Universal Studios in 1915. So, the rebuilding of the studio back lot will match the original building of that same studio back lot.

One of the exhibits destroyed in the June 1, 2008, fire was the King Kong exhibit on the studio tour. The King Kong movie itself was also a match, the recent remake opened on a time fold to the opening of the original version of King Kong.

As far as I currently know, no other company has this sort of industrial history showing up on the timeline. The prophetic nature of Tim's death may some how turn out to be of consequence to industrial history generally, or to some important aspect of General Electric specifically.

It might simply be that God is plaguing General Electric as a representative of Pharaoh's Egypt. Tim's show, Meet The Press, was estimated at earning $50 Million per year for the company. It will be very hard to replace him and sustain the same earnings.

More?

It is hard to imagine there might be more, but if there is, this page will be updated as the situation warrants.
