1991 Madrid Peace Summit

James Baker was the American working behind the scenes to get the peace process started. The risks of war in the Middle East were apparent to all. Baker had started the process in June, on a prophetic date, but would now start traveling the world. His 1 week trip to Jerusalem and another to Madrid marked the two flights of the Raven and Dove.

Background

Noah waited 40 days after the mountains had become visible. By not telling the date that he sent out the raven or dove we must guess at the exact map. Assuming a 40 day gap between the dates we get October 12, 1991 as the indicated date for the raven and dove's forays. Keeping with a gap for the other two intervals yields the dates for the other two events.

The second sequence fits the earlier fulfillment better, the first sequence fits the summit meetings better. In both cases weekends interfere and make this discussion mute.

Fulfillment

There were various events taking place around the world at this point. Linked to the the last date on the story we find a meeting in Bangkok where western leaders decide that the former Soviet Union should be treated as a third world nation in need of debt relief. (Of course it had a full arsenal of nuclear weapons.)

Symbolic with the dove, James Baker's peace process meetings were starting to take off. On Friday, October 11, 1991, James finished 2 days of talks that were prepatory to a peace summit and left, himself, for a week worth of travel in the middle east. Like Noah's dove, though we don't know how many days it actually flew, Baker, though, traveled for the full week.

A week later, October 18, 1991, Baker and Pankin, Foreign Minister of the Soviet Union, are in Jerusalem. They jointly issue invitations to the various parties to come to Madrid for a peace summit. The dove is returning with an olive branch.

Pankin was in Israel to also establish full diplomatic relations between the Soviets and Israel. He admitted that the Soviets had sided with the Arabs throughout most of Israel's history.

On Saturday, October 19, 1991, Baker arrived Madrid in order to do the prepatory work in the city for the meetings. For the entire week following Baker worked to get the Madrid conference set up and ready for dignitaries.

Two key dignitaries, the formal hosts for the meetings, were President Bush from the United States and Gorbachev from the Soviet Union. They had arrived a day earlier and then held a mini-summit on Tuesday, October 29, 1991. This date is better suggested by the primary sequence for this event, though the slop of weekend days off allows this to match the alternative sequence, but not as well.

The formal, ceremonial, opening of these meetings were held October 30, 1991. The 7 year biblical anniversary of this opening session was the dates for the signing of the Wye River Memorandum in October, 1998.

Arafat would later remark that this was the opening of the peace process for him.

Many other documents that would spring from the work conducted here at Madrid also land on prophetic dates:

• Oslo Accords mark a major milestone and lead to Rabin, Peres, and Arafat receiving a peace prize from the United Nations.

• Peace with Jordan would ending 46 years of war.

• Wye River Would lead to the first pull backs from West Bank Lands.

This peace summit was the start of all further peace process work. It appears that the temple in Jerusalem cannot be built before there is a peace in place between Israel and all its neighbors. This was the case with Solomon's temple, it appears to be the case here.

By the first day of Noah's 601st year the earth was completely dry. What did that foretell? We answer that next.
