Passion

Harmony of the Gospels, Based on Time

This article provides a harmony of the Gospels based on the historical chronology of the Bible. Jesus replayed the historical chronology of the Bible in his life, his ministry, and his passion.

Background

Each of the Gospels provides an account of the life and ministry of Jesus. The Gospels are written with different litterary styles and different intended audiances. Taken together they provide a collage of stories that report what Jesus said and did during his life and ministry.

The written accounts of the Gospels are subtly different in word selection and details. It is a fruitful area of study to compare the similarites and differences between the accounts. But, the study requires the comparison of the Gospels to each other, something rather difficult to do.

In order to make this type of cross-Gospel study easier, various scholars have produced what are called "Synopsis" of the Gospels. The purposes is to bring together on a single page each of the accounts of various events that are recorded, but normally spread apart, in the Gospels.

Perhaps the most famous was edited by Kurt Aland in 1982, published by the United Bible Societies and called simply enough the "Synopsis of the Four Gospels, English Edition."

The problem with Aland's Synopsis is that he does not take into account any of time-based prophetic actions and language of Jesus in establishing the linkages between the Gospels, nor does Aland link Jesus' actions to specific events in Biblical history, nor does Aland reference any modern prophetic timing or application of Jesus' words and actions. In effect Aland's work is ad-hoc without a specific Biblical methodology for joining the Gospels in his Synopsis.

What follows is another Gospel Synopsis, in the spirit of Aland's work, but which factors the stories based on time.

The Gospels are not written in a strictly sequencial style. They do include time based clues for the application of their various stories to both completed history and future history. Those time based clues provide the basis used here methodologically harmonizing the Gospels. In effect the historical narrative of the Bible itself provides the harmony.

Phases in Jesus' Life

Jesus' life can be thought of in 3 different ways. The first is the "early years" which include his birth and events in his childhood. The period leading up to Jesus birth was 70 weeks long and was a prophetic application of the 70 weeks of Daniel.

Jesus' public ministry was also 70 weeks long, a second prophetic application of Daniel's 70 weeks. This 70 weeks began at Jesus' water baptism and ending with Pentecost, the spiritual baptism of Jesus' disciples.

Within this ministry time the Gospels pay special attention to the events in Passion Week. This began with the Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and ended 1 week later when the tomb was found to be empty.

This Time Based Synposis breaks Jesus' life down into these 3 phases in his life, quite similar to the way the Gospels themselves break down the narrative surrounding Jesus' life.

Time Harmony

The first 62 weeks of Jesus' public ministry were a prophetic replay of the Bible's historical timeline. Each week replayed 210 historical years, 30 years to the individual day.

Dates provided by the Gospels inside his ministry year are thus providing a key for linking Jesus' words and actions to events in history. This is the basis for the Synposis provided here.

Astute readers will recognize immediately that this ideal is challenged by the Gospel's lack of clear dates after about the 40th day of Jesus' public ministry. The solution to this apparent lack of dates rests in the way the Gospels are written. The Gospels use time as a unifying factor in understanding what Biblical stories undergird Jesus' words and actions throughout the Gospels.

By understanding the time based nature of these narratives essentially all of the stories recorded in the Gospels can be mapped against history just like those passages that are simply dated by the text.

Clock and Calendar

The "Day" used in the Bible ends at sunset, not midnight as it does in the modern world. This leads to problems in understanding times between sunset and midnight, when modern language would consider the day nearly over while Biblical language would consider the day just begun.

The gospel accounts occationally include hours of the day. On the clock used to record the Gospels, hour 1 begins at sunrise exactly. This means that hour 1 is from 6:00 AM until 7:00 AM on a modern clock.

The arithmetic difference in hours from the Bible's time measurement to modern time measurement is 5 hours. By this same math hour 7 begins at what we call noon. This is quite elegant from a biblical perspective because of the use of the number 7 essentially at the "top" of the day. Similarly, hour 12 ends at 6:00 PM.

This 5 hour difference between Biblical clocks and modern clocks has often tripped up Bible translators, causing mis-translations and/or stupid footnotes. (Translators have often assumed a 6 hour difference.) Be sure that when you read through the Gospel accounts that you understand this 5 hour difference.

Notation

Each of the events presented in this Synopsis is under a title that provides timing information for the event. The first item is the applied time when the event happened in Jesus' life. This is the historical date provided on both the 30 day Biblical calendar and the Roman calendar of Jesus' era. The Jewish calendar was not stable until the 900s and is not suitable for accurately dating Jesus' actions.

In Jesus' ministry, there is a prophetic clock running at 210 historical years to the week that matches the events of his ministry and provides the effective dates for otherwise undated stories. As you'll discover reading through the Synopsis the dating of historical events can be taken as a given from the Historical narrative, or can be deduced based on the various clues provided by the Gospel accounts themselves.

Jesus' Passion Week continues with Jesus' ministry as a prophetic narrative against world history, but also includes another prophetic replay of the historical time line. This replay-within-a-replay is a powerful technique for understanding the general design of time itself and for fully understanding what Jesus was doing and saying across the time of Passion week. The headers for this week include both the continuing historical application, and the replay.

Jesus' Genealogy through Mary

This genealogy is placed by Matthew ahead of all other narrative and begins with God, so it is placed here.

Matthew's account is missing 3 generations of Judean kings in order to shorten the list to 3 even sets of 14 generations. This use of a concatinated genealogy is one of several examples and demonstrates the principle that all genealogies in the Bible are possibly concatinated. That Matthew is NOT recounting known Bible history suggests strongly that his purpose is prophetic instead of historical.

The historical reconning of this genealogy begins with Abraham, skips to David, skips to Nebuchadnezzar's invasion of Jerusalem and then skips to the birth of Jesus himself. This is the reconning used to place this entire Genealogy ahead of Jesus' birth in this time-ordered harmony of the Gospels.

The prophetic reconning of this same genealogy is quite different. It begins at the same time, with Abraham, continues to David, who was 14 * 70 = 980 years from Abraham. From David forward the prophetic reconning is different than the historical reconning.

Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon would become the Medo-Persian, then Greek, then the Roman empire of Jesus' day. Babylon, as a prophetic name, applies to this chain of empires across history, ending even today with NATO on the west and CIS in the east. These 2 modern alliances are the 2 feet of Nebuchadnezzar's prophetic vision about this historical progression of his kingdom.

The prophetic reconning of the genealogy picks up with David and procedes forward 14 * 80 = 1120 years until the Jewish deportation, "captivity," into prophetic Babylon of 70 AD, which according to the Book of Daniel, was the Roman empire.

In this prophetic reconning the last set of 14 generations begins in roughly 70 AD and spans another period until the "Christ" rules in Russia around 1050 AD. This is about 60 years after the earliest possible start of the Magog, or Russian, Millenium when Christ rules. The Christianization of Russia is the last of the former Roman colonies to become Christian.

The Russian word, "Tzar" is a variation on Ceasar. Though Rome itself never extended as far as the Ukraine, the Russian peoples considered themselves the heirs to the eastern branch of the Roman empire. Scripture supports this idea.

The Aramaic word behind "Husband" of verse 16 can be equally translated as "Father" which is the clue in Matthew's account that this is the genealogy of Joseph the father of Mary, the mother of Jesus.

41 Matthew 1:2-17 2Abraham begot Isaac; Isaac begot Jacob; Jacob begot Judah and his brothers; 3Judah begot Perez and Zerah by his wife Tamar; Perez begot Hezron; Hezron begot Aram; 4Aram begot Aminadab; Aminadab begot Nahson; Nahson begot Salmon; 5Salmon begot Boaz by his wife Rahab; Boaz begot Obed by his wife Ruth; Obed begot Jesse; 6Jesse begot David the king; David the king begot Solomon by the wife of Uriah; 7Solomon begot Rehoboam; Rehoboam begot Abijah; Abijah begot Asa; 8Asa begot Jehoshaphat; Jehoshaphat begot Joram; Joram begot Uzziah; 9Uzziah begot Jotham; Jotham begot Ahaz; Ahaz begot Hezekiah; 10Hezekiah begot Manasseh; Manasseh begot Amon; Amon begot Josiah; 11Josiah begot Jechoniah and his brothers, about the captivity of Babylon. 12And after the captivity of Babylon, Jechoniah begot Shealtiel; Shealtiel begot Zerubbabel; 13Zerubbabel begot Abiud; Abiud begot Eliakim; Eliakim begot Azor; 14Azor begot Sadoc; Sadoc begot Achim; Achim begot Eliud; 15Eliud begot Eleazar; Eleazar begot Matthan; Matthan begot Jacob; 16Jacob begot Joseph the father of Mary, from whom is begotten Jesus, who is called Messiah. 17Therefore, all the generations, from Abraham down to David, are 14 generations; and from David down to the Babylonian captivity are 14 generations; and from the Babylonian captivity down to Messiah are 14 generations. Ministry Time

Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem on Sunday at the start of Passion week. His entry was the start of an hour-accurate prophetic ministry that ran across the rest of the week.

This prophetic interval ended some 100 hours later when Jesus was placed in the tomb.

Across those hours each thing Jesus did was a timed prophetic match to something at the same time in the Bible's core historical time line. Each hour in Jesus' passion week was a replay of exactly 210 historical years. This was also a replay of 7 days in his public ministry, since his public ministry was structured around the same chronology. Remember, Jesus is the Bible made flesh, so he lived out the Bible's time lines. Over, and over again, it turns out. Each time at a different time scale.

Jesus' Passion Week

Establishing the Passion Week Chronology

Many have attempted to establish a chronology for the week. Readers of this page may attempt to do the same themselves. The following table is an answer but it does not reveal the essential steps. For readers that want some hints on building a chronology themselves, let me suggest the following keys.

Key 1: The women went to look for Jesus on the first day of the week. (John 24:1) That was days counted in Biblical style, day changes occur at sunset. Day 7 ends at what we call sunset on Saturday.

Key 2: Jesus had to spend the better part of 3 days and nights in the tomb. This was to fulfill prophecy about Jesus based on the sign of Jonah, who himself spent 3 days and nights in a large fish. Since we know Jesus died about the 9th hour, or about 2:00 PM, and we know that fractions count as wholes, the 3 prophetic days was nominally up at 2:00 PM on Sunday. Counting back 3 days, Jesus had to have died about 2:00 PM on Thursday.

Key 3: Jesus was placed on the cross early in the morning, so that was what we would call Thursday morning.

Key 4: Jesus makes an appearance before Pilate at the 6th hour of the day.1 The 6th hour is what we call 11:00 AM. Since he was on the cross at this hour on Thursday, this appearance before Pilate had to be on Wednesday. This event is shown in the table below in hour 70. Note this event is prophetic for the time in the mid 300s AD when the Roman world adopted Christianity as the state religion. "Behold, your King," is the editorial. It has several other times when it may have serious prophetic implications.

Key 5: Since Jesus is arrested at night, a few hours after nightfall, his arrest had to have been on what we today would call Tuesday night. That Tuesday night through the following morning was full of activity as the charts below indicate.

With these keys the rough chronology of Passion Week can be established by anyone with a Bible and the time to wade through the specific references. The following table simply augments the story line with details from all of the Passion Week accounts as well as the mathematics of the Bible's trunk time line.

Fetching the Donkey

Jesus directs his disciples to fetch a donkey. This event is likely in preparation to the formal entry.

Since the scale of everything in this story is hours, this is likely an event that "lasts" an hour. The support for this thought is found in various prophetic matches to this story.

  • Hour 1, see below, is a prophetic match to Adam arriving on earth. Adam's account is preceded with the creation week account. Though only 6 days actually precede Adam, the text counts all 7 days before returning to Adam's account. That week is a prophetic match to 7 days, or 210 historical years. 1 hour on this chart.
  • Noah's Flood contains a 7 day warning. Noah's flood is a prophetic match on a day basis to the trunk time line. A 7 day warning to Noah is a match to 1 hour at this Passion Week scale.
  • Benjamin's Seal Date is 210 days before Adam's 19th day in the prophetic replays in 1974. This is powerful confirmation that this has something to do with Benjamin.
  • When Jesus is on the cross between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on Thursday he gives his mother to Lazarus. This is symmetric about the time line and is also a strong reference to Benjamin. Ben is the only one of Jacob's sons who did not know his mother. This would explain the "Behold your Mother." language that Jesus uses in the account. It too is a prophetic match to these other stories.
  • Matthew's genealogy is 6 sets of 7 kings, or an echo of the creation week itself. Time scale is about the same too.

41 Matthew 1:1-17 1THE book of the genealogy of Jesus Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham. 2Abraham begot Isaac; Isaac begot Jacob; Jacob begot Judah and his brothers; 3Judah begot Perez and Zerah by his wife Tamar; Perez begot Hezron; Hezron begot Aram; 4Aram begot Aminadab; Aminadab begot Nahson; Nahson begot Salmon; 5Salmon begot Boaz by his wife Rahab; Boaz begot Obed by his wife Ruth; Obed begot Jesse; 6Jesse begot David the king; David the king begot Solomon by the wife of Uriah; 7Solomon begot Rehoboam; Rehoboam begot Abijah; Abijah begot Asa; 8Asa begot Jehoshaphat; Jehoshaphat begot Joram; Joram begot Uzziah; 9Uzziah begot Jotham; Jotham begot Ahaz; Ahaz begot Hezekiah; 10Hezekiah begot Manasseh; Manasseh begot Amon; Amon begot Josiah; 11Josiah begot Jechoniah and his brothers, about the captivity of Babylon. (BRB)

41 Matthew 1:18-25 18The birth of Jesus Messiah was in this manner. While Mary his mother was acquired for a price for Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit. 19But Joseph her husband was a pious man, and did not wish to make it public; so he was thinking of divorcing her secretly. 20While he was considering this, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, and said to him, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take your wife Mary, because he that is to be born of her is of the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son, and you will call his name Jesus; for he will save his people from their sins. 22All this happened, that what was spoken from the Lord by the prophet might be fulfilled, 23Look, a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call his name Immanuel, which is interpreted, Our God is with us. 24When Joseph rose up from his sleep, he did just as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and he took his wife. 25And he did not know her until she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she called his name Jesus. (BRB)

41 Matthew 21:1-3 1WHEN he came near Jerusalem, he came to Bethphage on the side of the Mount of Olives. Jesus then sent 2 of his disciples, 2And he said to them, Go to that village which is in front of you, and immediately you will find a donkey which is tied up, and a colt with her; untie them and bring them to me. 3And if any man should say anything to you, tell him that our Lord needs them; and he will immediately send them here. (BRB)

42 Mark 1:1-8 1THE beginning of the gospel of Jesus Messiah, the Son of God. 2As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, Look I send my messenger before your face, that he may prepare your way, 3The voice that cries in the wilderness, Make ready the way of the Lord, and straighten his high ways.

4John was in the wilderness, baptizing and preaching the baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, 5And the whole province of Judaea went out to him, and all the people of Jerusalem; and he baptized them in the Jordan river, when they confessed their sins.

6John wore a dress of camel's hair, with a belt of leather fastened around his loins; and his food was locusts and wild honey. 7And he preached saying, Look, there is coming after me one who is mightier than myself, even the strings of whose shoes I am not good enough to bend down and untie. 8I have baptized you with water; but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit. (BRB)

42 Mark 11:1-6 1WHEN he came near to Jerusalem, towards Bethphage and Bethany at the mount of Olives, he sent 2 of his disciples, 2And he said to them, Go to the village ahead of us; and as soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied up, on which no man of the sons of men has ever ridden; untie it and bring it. 3And if any man should say to you, Why are you doing this? Say to him, Our Lord needs it; and immediately he will send it here. 4So they went and found the colt tied by the door, outside in the street. And as they were untying it, 5Some of the men who stood there said to them, What are you doing, are you untying the colt? 6And they answered them as Jesus had instructed them; and they consented. (BRB)

43 Luke 19:29-34 29And when he arrived at Bethphage and Bethany, on the side of the mountain which is called the Place of Olives, he sent 2 of his disciples, 30Saying to them, Go to the village which is in front of us; and when you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no man has ever ridden; untie it and bring it. 31And if any man should ask you, Why do you untie it? Tell him, Our Lord needs it. 32And those who were sent went away and found just as he had told them. 33And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, Why do you untie the colt? 34And they said to them, Our Lord needs it. 41 Matthew 2:1-12 1WHEN Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judah, in the days of Herod the king, Magi came from the east to Jerusalem. 2And they were saying, Where is the King of the Jews, who has been born? For we have seen his star in the East, so we have come to worship him. 3But when Herod the king heard it, he trembled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4So he gathered together all the high priests and the scribes of the people, and he kept asking them, where the Messiah would be born? 5They said, In Bethlehem of Judah, for it is written in the book of the prophet: 6Even you, Bethlehem of Judah, you are not insignificant in the eyes of the kings of Judah, from you will come out a king, who will shepherd my people Israel. 7Then Herod called the Magi secretly, and he learned from them at what time the star appeared to them. 8And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said to them, Go and ask very carefully concerning the boy, and when you have found him, come back and let me know, so that I may also go and worship him. 9When they had heard from the king, they went away; and look, the same star that they had seen in the east was going before them, until it came and stood just above the place where the infant boy was. 10When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly. 11And they entered the house, and they saw the infant boy with Mary, his mother; and they threw themselves down and worshiped him; and they opened their treasures and offered him gifts of gold and frankincense, and myrrh. 12And they saw in a dream not to return to Herod, so they departed to their own country by another way. 41 Matthew 16:21-28 21From that time Jesus began to make known to his disciples, that he would shortly have to go to Jerusalem, and suffer a great deal from the elders and the high priests and scribes, and be killed, and rise on the 3rd day. 22So Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, and he said, Far be it from you, my Lord, that this should happen to you. 23But he turned, and said to Peter, Get behind me, Satan, you are a stumbling-block to me; for you are not thinking of the things of God, but of men. 24Then Jesus said to his disciples, He who wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me. 25For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26For how will a man be benefited, if he should gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the Son of man will come in the glory of his Father with his holy angels; and then he will reward each man according to his works. 28Truly I say to you, There are men who stand here, who will not taste death, until they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. 42 Mark 8:32-38 32And he spoke that word openly. So Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. 33But he turned around and looked on his disciples, and he rebuked Simon, saying, Get behind me, Satan; for you are not thinking of the things of God, but of men. 34And Jesus called the people together with his disciples, and said to them, He who wishes to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake and the sake of my gospel will save it. 36For how could a man be benefited if he should gain the whole world and lose his life? 37Or what could a man give in exchange for his life? 38Therefore, whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this sinful and adulterous generation, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory of his Father with his holy angels. This story matches Adam's first year.

It is usually accompanied by a voice from heaven.

It is also a point for Jesus' baptism. He goes through several as he replays this first year of Adam. Adam's race was baptized too, at the fall in 20 AA.

40 John 12:12-19 12On the next day, a large crowd which had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13Took branches of palm trees, and went out to greet him, and they cried out and said, Hosanna, Blessed is the king of Israel who comes in the name of the Lord. 14And Jesus found a donkey and sat on it; as it is written, 15Do not fear, oh daughter of Zion; look, your king comes to you, riding on the colt of a donkey. 16His disciples did not understand these things at that time; but when Jesus was glorified, then his disciples remembered that these things were written concerning him and that they had done these things to him. 17The people who were with him testified that he had called Lazar from the tomb and raised him from the dead. 18It was on this account that large crowds went out to meet him, for they heard that he had performed this miracle. 19The Pharisees said to one another, Do you see that you have not been able to gain anything? Look, all the people have gone after him. (BRB)

41 Matthew 4:13-17 13And he left Nazareth, and came and settled in Capernaum, by the seaside, inside the borders of Zebulon and Napthali, 14So that it might be fulfilled, which was said by the prophet Isaiah, who said, 15Land of Zebulon, land of Napthali, the way to the sea, across the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, 16The people who lived in darkness saw a great light, and those who settled in the country and in the middle of the shadows of death, light shone on them.

17From that time Jesus began preach and say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near. (BRB)

41 Matthew 21:4-11 4All this happened, so that what was said by the prophet, might be fulfilled, who said, 5Tell the daughter of Zion, Look your king is coming to you, meek, and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey. 6And the disciples went and did as Jesus had commanded them. 7And they brought the donkey and the colt, and they put their garments on the colt, and Jesus rode on it. 8And a great many people spread their garments on the road; and others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9And the people who were going before him and coming after him, were shouting and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

10When he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up, and they were saying, Who is this man? 11And the people were saying, This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee. (BRB)

42 Mark 11:7-10 7And they brought the colt to Jesus, and they put their garments on it, and Jesus rode on it. 8And many spread their garments on the road; and others cut down branches from the trees, and spread them on the road. 9And those who were in front of him and those who were behind him were crying and saying, Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; 10And blessed is the kingdom of our father David, which is coming; Hosanna in the highest! (BRB)

43 Luke 19:35-44 35And they brought it to Jesus; and they put their garments on the colt, and they set Jesus on it. 36And as he went along, they spread their garments on the road. 37And when he came near to the descent of the mount of the Place of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice, praising God with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen, 38Saying, Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord; peace in heaven and glory in the highest. 39But some of the Pharisees who were in the multitude said to him, Teacher, rebuke your disciples. 40He said to them, I say to you that if these should keep silent, the stones would cry out.

41And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it; 42And he said, If you had only known those who came for your peace, even in this your day. But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43But the days will come when your enemies will surround you, and oppress you from every place, 44And will overthrow you and your children inside you; and they will not leave in you a stone on a stone, because you did not know the time when you were to be visited. Voice From Heaven

John's account of the voice from heaven triggers remembrance of the voice that spoke over Jesus at his baptism. It is the voice that marks the start of a repetition of the prophetic stories.

Note several points that Jesus makes that echo back to the garden of Eden: A grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, but it produces much fruit. This is what happened to Adam at the fall. He fell to the ground, earth, and died. He has now produced much fruit: an entire race.

Now is the judgment of the world. This happened in the garden when Adam was judged. Now the prince will be cast out, as was Adam at the fall.

The "lifting up" referenced here is a symmetric story. Jesus will lift up those who accept his sacrifice on the cross back to the place were Adam fell from. This will also be the end of the prophetic time line that is being opened here.

When Jesus hides himself from the crowds he is pattern matching the cherub that blocked the way to the tree of life. The way to life was hidden.

The "Christ" remains forever has several meanings. It is most closely a synonym for the Holy Spirit which has remained since Jesus' era. We will remain with Him forever at the general ascension at the close of the age.

40 John 12:20-36 20Now there were some Gentiles among them, who had come up to worship at the feast. 21They came and approached Philip of Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, My lord, we would like to see Jesus. 22Philip came and told Andrew; then Andrew and Philip told Jesus.

23Jesus answered, saying to them, The hour has come that the Son of man should be glorified. 24Truly, truly, I say to you that unless a grain of wheat falls and dies in the ground, it will be left alone; but if it dies, it produces great quantities of fruit. 25He who loves his life will lose it; and he who has no concern for his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. 26If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there my servant will be; he who serves me, my Father will honor him. 27Now my soul is disturbed, and what will I say? Oh my Father, deliver me from this hour; but for this cause I came to this very hour. 28Oh Father, glorify your name. Then a voice was heard from heaven, I am glorified, and I will again be glorified. 29And the people who stood by heard it and said, It was thunder; others said, An angel spoke to him. 30Jesus answered, saying to them, This voice was not on my account, but for your sake. 31Now is the judgment of this world; now the leader of this world will be cast out. 32And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw every man to me. 33He said this to show by what kind of death he was to die. 34The people said to him, We have heard from the law that the Messiah will remain forever; how do you say that the Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man? 35Jesus said to them, The light is with you for a little while; walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overcome you; and he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. 36While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become the sons of the light. Jesus spoke these things, and went away and hid himself from them. (BRB)

42 Mark 1:9-12 9And it came to pass in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized in the Jordan by John. 10And immediately, as he went up out of the water, he saw the sky was clear open, and the Spirit as a dove came down on him. 11And a voice came from heaven, You are my beloved Son, I am pleased with you. 12And immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness. Walking In The Light

The expression "They loved men's praise more than the praise of God." echos Jesus' words to Peter, a match to Adam's fall and the garden: "You have in mind the things of men, not the things of God." This is a prophetic match to the triumphal entry event.

40 John 12:42-49 42Many of the leading men also believed in him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they might not be cast out of the synagogue. 43For they loved the honor of men more than the glory of God.

44Jesus cried out, saying, He who believes in me does not believe in me but in him who sent me. 45And he who sees me has already seen him who sent me. 46I have come into the world as the light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness. 47And he who hears my words, and does not obey them, I will not judge him; for I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48He who oppresses me and does not receive my words, there is one who will judge him; the word which I have spoken, it will judge him at the last day. 49For I did not speak of myself; but the Father who sent me, he commanded me what to say and what to speak. Wedding At Cana

The wedding at Cana likely landed on the 14th day, as charted here.

Modern headlines were the May 1, 2004, expansion of the European Union.

Likely a prophetic match to Seth naming Enosh in 234 AA or Enosh becoming ancestor of Kenan in 323 AA.

Note at the date this replayed in March of 1975 there was a European Summit that ended March 22, 1975 across the prophetic date. The eastern European focus of the May 1, 2004, date and the March 22, 1975, date are curious.

40 John 2:1-11 1ON the 3rd day there was a marriage feast in Cana, a city of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there. 2And Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the marriage feast. 3And when the wine ran low, his mother said to Jesus, They have no wine. 4Jesus said to her, What is it to me and you, woman? My turn has not yet come. 5His mother said to the helpers, Whatever he tells you, do it. 6And there were 6 stone jars placed there for the purification of the Jews, which could hold several gallons each. 7Jesus said to them, Fill the jars with water; and they filled them up to the brim. 8Then he said to them, Now draw out and bring it to the chief guest of the feast. And they brought it. 9And when the chief guest tasted the water that had become wine, he did not know where it had come from; but the helpers knew, who had drawn the water. Then the chief guest called the bridegroom 10And said to him, Every man brings the best wine first; and when they have drunk, then that which is weak; but you have kept the best wine until now. 11This is the first miracle which Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and thus he showed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. Jesus' Hometown

After 40 days Jesus returned to his hometown. On the Sabbath he got up to read. This announced a year in his public ministry tht remained, 390 days. It fixes the day and the year indicated here.

Notes

Jesus' reference to Elijah is calling out the normall "times, 2 times and 1/2 times" pattern so common in scripture.

That time reference is 42 months. His ministry is running 30:1 and this Sabbath where he stands up to read is on day 42 in his ministry. This is an exact prophetic match.

"The acceptable year of the Lord" is a Sabbath, or Jubilee year of 390 days. The math also suggests 390 days from this, day 42, until the other stories in this prophecy intersect. 42 + 390 = 432 or day 432 in the ministry. This is when the Widow's 3.5 years end, Namaan goes to Syria and Jesus goes up the hill and walks through the split crowd. See hour 62 for details.

41 Matthew 13:54-58 54He came to his own city and he taught them in their synagogues in such a way that they were amazed and said, Where did he get this wisdom and these wonders? 55Is he not the carpenter's son? Is his mother not called Mary? Are his brothers not called Jacob, Joses, Simon and Judah? 56Are all his sisters not with us? Where did he get all these things? 57And they were perplexed about him. But Jesus said to them, No prophet is insulted, except in his own city and in his own house. 58And he did not perform many miracles there, because of their unbelief. (BRB)

43 Luke 4:14-15 14So Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee; and his fame went out through all the surrounding country. 15And he taught in their synagogues, and was praised by every man. (BRB)

43 Luke 4:17-18 17And the book of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. And Jesus opened the book and found the place where it is written, 18The Spirit of the Lord is on me; because of this he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor; and he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, and to proclaim release to the captives and sight to the blind; to strengthen with forgiveness those who are bruised (BRB)

43 Luke 4:19 19And to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (BRB)

43 Luke 4:20-24 20And he rolled up the scroll and gave it to the attendant, and went and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on him. 21And he began to say to them, Today this scripture is fulfilled in your ears. 22And all testified about him, and were amazed by the words of grace which came out of his mouth. And they said, Is this man not the son of Joseph? 23Jesus said to them, You might probably tell me this proverb, Physician, heal yourself; and all that we heard you did in Capernaum, also do here in your own city. 24Then he said, Truly I say to you, No prophet is acceptable in his own city. (BRB)

43 Luke 4:25 25For truly I say to you, There were many widows in Israel in the days of the prophet Elijah when heaven was closed for 3 years and 6 months and there was a great famine throughout the land; (BRB)

43 Luke 4:26-27 26Yet Elijah was not sent to one of them, but to Zarephath of Sidon, to a widow. 27And there were many lepers in Israel in the days of the prophet Elisha, yet not one of them was cleansed except Naaman the Aramean. (BRB)

Jesus In the Temple

This entry springs from an obscure reference in Mark 11 where Jesus is said to have gone into the temple, then looked around and it being dark decides to go out to Bethany with the 12.

What was Jesus up to with this reference? Likely this is a prophetic match to the time of the temptation of Jesus. At the start of his public ministry he spent 40 days being tempted by Satan. This period was prophetic at 30:1 so the last day of the 40 days, the worst for Jesus, would be day 41 in the overall time line of Jesus' public ministry. This was likely a prophetic match to 1211 AA if at sunset on Friday, or 1226 AA, if sunrise on Saturday.

Note the similarity to Jesus being tempted at the end of his fast. Going up to the temple, looks around, but does nothing as prompted by Satan. So too, is Mark suggesting the same here, then leaving.

Jesus To High Point in Temple

Part of Jesus' tempation is to be take to the top or roof of the temple. He is asked to jump off and Jesus rebukes the devil.

This could be easily mistaken for Enoch's assention into heaven in 4270 AA. The strange references to the 46 year Temple building project help clear out the uncertainty. There is an odd temple reference here around 3500 AA without clear text in Genesis.

Curses a Fig Tree

On the way in on the second morning Jesus cursed the fig tree. The tree would come up again in further parables.

This is also Lamech's avenging. 3500 AA is the year indicated by the seventy-seven times reference for Lamech.3

John 2:18-25 is included in this hour because the reference to 46 years building the temple back-dates this story by 46 years from the time of Jesus' ministry. That event hits the historical time line in 10974 AA. That year replays August 13, 2004, as the banner indicates.
