Place Prepared

This is a prophetic match to John the Baptist. Several features match. First, time when the true Passover Lamb was sacrificed was when Jesus was crucified. This puts it on the millennium of his sacrifice, or any time on or after 11001 AA.

The year of John’s beheading is in Jesus’ ministry year of 11019 AA.

Also: The theme of the parable is a man preparing the way. This is what John did. The pitcher of water signifies a baptism, again a link to John. The disciples are to follow this pitcher carrying character until they find the "Master of the House." This, of course, is Jesus, whom John the Baptist was leading the way to. The large upper room appears to be the large upper room itself, recall that this is playing in Jesus’ era. The real large upper room is a room in heaven that we will all one day visit.

There is a little poetic license going on here. The hour that Jesus comes is after sunset with his disciples which is where the parable best fits on the master time line. Jesus comes with his disciples in 11019 AA. Of course they would not have actually prepared in the dark. The real prep time was perhaps several hours that day.

Matthew (P) Mark (P) Luke (P)

41 Matthew 26:17-19
17On the 1st day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus and said to him, Where do you wish that we may prepare the passover for you to eat?
18And he said to them, Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, Our Master says, My time has come, I will observe the passover with my disciples at your house.
19And his disciples did as Jesus had commanded them and they prepared the passover.

42 Mark 14:12-16
12On the 1st day of unleavened bread, on which the Jews sacrifice the passover, his disciples said to him, Where do you wish that we go and prepare the passover for you to eat?
13And he sent 2 of his disciples, and said to them, Go to the city and look, you will meet a man carrying a vessel of water; follow him.
14And wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, Our master says, Where is the guestroom where I may eat the passover with my disciples?
15And he will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared; make ready for us there.
16So his disciples went out and came to the city, and they found it just as he had told them; and they prepared the passover.

43 Luke 22:7-13
7Then the day of unleavened bread came, on which it was the custom to kill the passover lamb.
8So Jesus sent Peter and John, and said to them, Go and prepare the passover for us to eat.
9They said to him, Where do you wish us to prepare?
10He said to them, Look, when you enter the city, you will meet a man carrying a waterskin; follow him. And wherever he enters,
11say to the master of the house, Our Teacher says, Where is the guest room, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?
12And look, he will show you an upper room, large and furnished; there, make ready.
13And they went and found it just as he had said to them; and they prepared the passover.

John (P) Matthew (P) Mark (P) Luke (P)

40 John 13:1
23 1Now before the feast of the passover Jesus knew the hour had come to depart from this world to his Father. He loved his own who were in this world, and he loved them to the end.

41 Matthew 26:20
20And when it was evening, he was reclining with his 12 disciples.

42 Mark 14:17
17And when it was evening, he came with his 12.

43 Luke 22:14
14And when it was time, Jesus came and sat down, and the 12 apostles with him.

Jesus Institutes The Lord’s Supper

After driving off his betrayer, Jesus gives the Lord’s supper. This is prophetic for Jesus’ own time in world history. This is when in history Jesus changed the law and instituted the Lord’s Supper as the replacement. 11019 AA is the year indicated.

In the process he announces that he is going to be betrayed. This is what happened in history as this is replaying is own ministry 2000 years ago.

Matthew (P)

41 Matthew 26:26-29
26While they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it, and he broke it, and gave it to his disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27Then he took the cup and gave thanks, and gave it to them and said, Take, drink it, all of you.
28This is my blood of the new contract which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
29But I say to you, from now on, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine, until the day when I drink it anew with you in the kingdom of God.

John Beheaded

Mark’s account places this as the last event before a boat travel. The story in order is likely pointing at the year of John’s beheading. 11019 AA is indicated.

Mark (P) Luke (P)

42 Mark 14:18-25
18And when they were reclining and eating, Jesus said, Truly I say to you, 1 of you who eats with me will betray me.
19They began to feel troubled, and said to him 1 by 1, What! Is it I?
20But he said to them, It is 1 of the 12 who dips with me in the dish.
21The Son of man will go, as it is written of him; but woe to the man by whose hand the Son of man is betrayed. It would have been far better for that man never to have been born.

22While they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it, and he broke it and gave it to them, and he said to them, Take it; this is my body.
23And he took the cup and gave thanks, and he blessed it and gave it to them, and they all drank of it.
24And he said to them, This is my blood, of the new contract which is shed for the sake of many.
25Truly I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day in which I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

43 Luke 22:15-23
15And he said to them, I have greatly desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer;
16for I say to you, that from now on, I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17And he took the cup and gave thanks and said, Take this and divide it among yourselves.
18For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.
19And he took bread and gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them and said, This is my body, which is given for your sake; this do in remembrance of me.
20And likewise, he also took the cup, after they had eaten supper, and he said, This is the cup of the new contract in my blood, which is shed for you.
21But look, the hand of him who is to betray me is on the table.
22And the Son of man will go, just as he has been destined; but woe to the man by whose hand he will be betrayed.
23And they began to inquire among themselves which one of them was to do this act.

Washing Feet

The following is John’s large discourse on the events of Jesus’ entire ministry and his place in time. John spends more text on this subject than any other.

John (P)

Washing Feet

40 John 13:2-17
2During supper, he put the accuser into the heart of Judah, son of Simon Iscariot, to deliver him.
3But Jesus, because he knew that the Father had given everything into his hands, and that he came from God and was going to God,
4rose from supper and laid aside his robe; and he took a cloth and tied it around his loins.
5Then he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the feet of his disciples and to wipe them with the cloth which was tied around his loins.
6When he came to Simon Peter, Simon said to him, Are you, my Master, going to wash my feet?
7Jesus answered, saying to him, What I am doing, you do not know now, but later you will understand.
8Then Simon Peter said to him, You will never wash my feet. Jesus said to him, If I do not wash you, you have no part with me.
9Simon Peter said to him, My Master, then wash not only my feet but also my hands and my head.
10Jesus said to him, He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, for he is already clean; so you are clean, but not everyone of you.
11For Jesus knew who was to betray him; therefore he said, Not everyone of you is clean.

24 12When he had washed their feet, he put on his robes and sat down; and he said to them, Do you know what I have done to you?
13You call me Teacher and Master; and I am, what you say is correct.
14If I then, your Master and Teacher, have washed your feet, how much more should you wash one another's feet?
15For I have given you this as an example, so that just as I have done to you, you should do also.
16Truly, truly, I say to you, There is no servant who is greater than his master; and no apostle who is greater than he who sent him.
17If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Identifies Betrayer

40 John 13:18-30
18I do not say this concerning all of you, for I know those whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture might be fulfilled, He who eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.
19I tell you now before it happens, that when it happens, you may believe that I am he.
20Truly, truly, I say to you, He who receives him whom I send, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me.
21Jesus said these things, and he was disturbed in spirit, and testified saying, Truly, truly, I say to you, 1 of you will betray me.
22The disciples then looked at each other, because they did not know who he spoke about.

25 23Now there was one of his disciples who was leaning on his chest, the one whom Jesus loved.
24Simon Peter gestured to him, to ask him of whom he spoke.
25So that disciple leaned himself on the breast of Jesus, and said to him, My Master, who is he?
26Jesus answered saying, The one for whom I dip bread and give it to him. So Jesus dipped the bread, and gave it to Judah, the son of Simon Iscariot.
27And after the bread, the accuser took possession of him. So Jesus said to him, What you are going to do, do it soon.
28But of those sitting at the table, not a man understood what he said to him.
29For some of them thought, because the purse was with Judah, that he ordered him to buy what was needed for the feast or to give something to the poor.
30So Judah then received the bread and went outside immediately; and it was night when he went out.

Commandment of Love

40 John 13:31-35
26 31Then Jesus said, Now the Son of man is glorified, and God is glorified by him.
32If God is glorified by him, God will also glorify him by himself, and he will glorify him at once.
33My sons, I am with you yet a little while, and you will seek me. And just as I said to the Jews, Where I go, you cannot come; the same I also now tell you.
34A new commandment I give you, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
35By this, every man will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

Predicts Peter’s Denial

40 John 13:36-38
27 36Simon Peter said to him, Our Master, where are you going? Jesus answered, saying to him, Where I go, you cannot follow me now, but you will follow later.
37Simon Peter said to him, My Master, why can I not follow you now? I will even lay down my life for you.
38Jesus said to him, Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, The rooster will not crow, until you have denied me 3 times.

Don’t Be troubled

40 John 14
28 1Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, and believe also in me.
2In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to me, so that where I am, you may be also.
4You know where I am going and you know the way.
5Thomas said to him, Our Master, we do not know where you are going; and how can we know the way?
6Jesus said to him, I am the way and the truth and the life; no man comes to my Father except by me.
7If you had known me, you would have known my Father too; from now on, you know him and you have seen him.

29 8Philip said to him, Our Master, show us the Father, and that is enough for us.
9Jesus said to him, All this time I have been with you, yet you do not know me, Philip? He who sees me has seen the Father; and how do you say, Show us the Father?
10Do you not believe that I am with my Father and my Father is with me? The words that I speak, I do not speak of myself; but my Father who stays with me, does these works.
11Believe that I am with my Father and my Father is with me; and if not, believe because of the works.
12Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes in me will do the works which I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I am going to my Father.
13And whatever you ask in my name, I will do it for you, so that the Father may be glorified through his Son.
14If you ask me in my own name, I will do it.
15If you love me, keep my commandments.
16And I will ask my Father, and he will give you another Comforter, to be with you forever,
17even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it has not seen him and does not know him; but you know him, because he stays with you and is in you.
18I will not leave you bereaved, for I will come to you after a little while.
19And the world will not see me, but you will see me; because I live, you will also live.
20In that day, you will know that I am with my Father, and you are with me, and I am with you.
21He who has my commandments with him and obeys them, is the one who loves me; he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.

30 22Judah, not Iscariot, said to him, My Master, why is it that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?
23Jesus answered, saying to him, He who loves me keeps my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make a place of abode with him.
24But he who does not love me does not keep my word; and this word which you hear is not my own, but the Father's who sent me.
25I have spoken these things to you while I am with you.
26But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom my Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of everything which I tell you.
27Peace I leave with you; my own peace I give you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.
28You heard that I told you, I am going away, and I will come to you. If you loved me, you would rejoice because I am going to my Father; for my Father is greater than I.
29And now look, I have told you before it happens, so that when it does happen, you may believe.
30Hereafter, I will not talk much with you; for the prince of this world comes; yet he has nothing against me.
31But that the world may know that I love my Father, and as my Father has commanded me, so I do. Arise, let us go away from here.

True Vine

40 John 15
31 1I am the true vine, and my Father is the laborer.
2Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he cuts off; and the one which bears fruit, he prunes so that it may bring forth more fruit.
3You have already been pruned because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4Remain with me and I with you. Just as a branch cannot give fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, even so, you cannot unless you remain with me.
5I am the vine, you are the branches. He who remains with me, and I with him, will bear abundant fruit; for without me, you can do nothing.
6Unless a man remains with me, he will be cast outside like a branch which is withered, which they pick up and throw into the fire to be burned.
7If you remain with me, and my words remain with you, whatever you ask will be done for you.
8In this, the Father will be glorified, that you bear abundant fruit and be my disciples.

32 9Just as my Father has loved me, I have also loved you; stay in my love.
10If you keep my commandments, you will stay in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments and stay in his love.
11I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be full.
12This is my commandment: That you love one another, just as I have loved you.
13There is no greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for the sake of his friends.
14You are my friends if you do everything that I command you.
15From now on, I will not call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master does; but I have always called you my friends, because everything that I heard from my Father I have made known to you.
16You did not choose me, but I chose you, and I have appointed you, that you should also go and produce fruit and that your fruit might remain, so that whatever you ask my Father in my name, he will give it to you.
17I command these things to you, so that you may love one another.

33 18If the world hates you, know well that it has hated me before you.
19If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but you are not of the world, for I have chosen you out of the world; this is why the world hates you.
20Remember the word which I said to you, that no servant is greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
21But they will do all these things to you for the sake of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.
22If I had not come and spoken to them, they would be without sin; but now they have no excuse for their sins.
23He who hates me, hates my Father too.
24If I had not done works before their eyes, such as no other man has ever done, they would be without sin; but now they have seen and hated me and also my Father,
25so that the word which is written in their law may be fulfilled, They hated me for no reason.
26But when the Comforter comes, whom I will send to you from my Father, the Spirit of truth which proceeds from my Father, he will testify concerning me.
27And you will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

40 John 16:1-28
34 1I have spoken these things to you so that you may not stumble.
2For they will put you out of their synagogues; and the hour will come that whoever kills you, will think that he has offered an offering to God.
3And these things they will do because they have not known my Father, nor me.
4I have spoken these things to you that when their time does come, you may remember them, and that I told you. And I did not tell you these things before, because I was with you.

35 5But now I am going to him who sent me, yet not one of you asks me, Where are you going?
6But because I told you these things, sorrow has come and filled your hearts.
7But I tell you the truth, It is better for you that I should go away; for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I should go, I will send him to you.
8And when he is come, he will rebuke the world concerning sin, concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment;
9concerning sin, because they do not believe in me;
10concerning righteousness, because I go to my Father and you will not see me again;
11concerning judgment, because the leader of this world has been judged.

36 12Again, I have many other things to tell you, but you cannot grasp them now.
13But when the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak from himself, but what he hears, he will speak; and he will make known to you things which are to come in the future.
14He will glorify me, because he will take of my own and show it to you.
15Everything that my Father has is mine; this is the reason why I told you that he will take of my own and show it to you.
16A little while, and you will not see me; and again a little while, and you will see me, because I am going to the Father.

37 17Then his disciples said to one another, What is this that he said to us, A little while, and you will not see me; and again a little while, and you will see me; and, because I am going to my Father?
18And they said, What is this that he said, A little while? We cannot understand what he talks about.
19Jesus knew that they desired to ask him, and he said to them, Are you asking among yourselves about this that I told you, A little while, and you will not see me; and again a little while, and you will see me?
20Truly, truly, I say to you that you will weep and wail, yet the world will rejoice; and you will be sad, but your sadness will be changed into gladness.

38 21When a woman is in travail, she is depressed because her day has arrived; but when she has given birth to a son, she no longer remembers her troubles because of the joy that a male child is born into the world.
22So you also are depressed; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no man will take away from you.
23In that day, you will not ask me anything. Truly, truly, I say to you that whatever you ask my Father in my name, he will give it to you.
24Before, you have asked nothing in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be full.

39 25I have spoken these things in figures; but the time is coming when I will not speak to you in figures, but will plainly explain to you concerning the Father.
26In that day, you will ask in my name; and I will not say to you, I will ask the Father concerning you.
27For the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came forth from the Father.
28I came forth from the Father and I came into the world; again, I am leaving the world and I am going to the Father.

Day/Year Passion Replay

As a match to this hour, US President Obama held a meeting with his top economic advisors. The Economic Recovery Board met at the White House where Obama gave a brief speech. The board includes key leaders from across the economy including former Fed chairman Paul Volker, GE CEO Imelt and many others.

The focus of this group is to prepare for economic recovery after the recession. This focus on preparing is the focus of this passage. It suggests strongly that the eventual fulfillment for Jesus' Crucifixion will be in the economic domain of the United States or western nations generally.

The text for this hour is extensive, with Jesus washing his disciples feet, with the institution of communion and many other things. This alignment of this meeting of economic advisors to this passage suggests that red-ink found in the economy since the start of the plague of blood on the river of Egypt, is also the blood sacrifice of Jesus in this general time line replay.
