Peter’s Denial

40 John 18:26-27
²⁶Then 1 of the servants of the high priest, a kinsman of him whose ear Simon had cut off, said to him, Did I not see you with him in the garden?
²⁷Simon again denied it; and at that very hour, the rooster crowed.

41 Matthew 26:73-27:0
⁷³After awhile, those who were standing came and said to Peter, Truly you are also 1 of them, for even your speech proves it.
⁷⁴Then he began to curse and swear, I do not know the man. At that very hour, the rooster crowed.
⁷⁵And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which he said to him, Before the rooster crows, you will deny me 3 times. And he went outside and wept bitterly.

⁷⁰But he denied it again. And a little later, those who stood by said to Peter, Truly, you are 1 of them, for you are also a Galilean, and even your speech is like theirs.

⁷²At that very hour, the rooster crowed the 2nd time. And Simon remembered the words that Jesus had said to him, Before the rooster crows 2 times, you will deny me 3 times. And then, he began to weep.

⁶⁰Peter said, Man, I do not know what you are saying. And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.
⁶¹And Jesus turned and looked at Peter. And Simon remembered the word of master that was said to him, Before the rooster crows, you will deny me 3 times.
⁶²And Simon went outside and wept bitterly.
