President Obama arrived in Copenhagen and gave a poorly received speech on his support for global warming. He offered nothing more that Hillary had done a day before, with $100bn over 10 years. He also pressed China for verifiable cuts, which caused the Chinese to send low level delegates to the meeting. In a more positive note, Gordon brown attempted to carry the meeting.
