NASA released newly restored footage of the original moon landing. A pair of hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia, were also bombed.
Theoretical Time:
1To you, god, do we give thanks, to you, do we give thanks and call on your name.
2We will declare all your wondrous works; then, the time will come when I will judge uprightly.
3Then, the land and all its inhabitants will be humbled; you have ordained its people.
4You said to the fools, Do not deal foolishly, and to the wicked, Do not lift up the horn;
5do not lift up your horn on high; do not speak with a stiff neck.
6For defence comes neither from the west, nor from the east, nor from the desert mountains.
7But god is the judge; he puts down one, and sets up another.
8For in the hand of Yahvah there is a cup, full of a mixture of the dregs of wine; and he passes it from one to another; surely, all the wicked of the land will drink its dregs.
9But I will live forever; I will sing praises to the god of Jacob.
10All the horns of the wicked I will also cut off; but the horns of the righteous will be exalted.
At very close to the theoretical time of this Psalm, NASA was releasing cleaned up video of the first 1969 Apollo moon landing. The original, high quality videos were said to be erased, but the video of the monitors had been found in the CBS archives. The timing was set to match the 40th anniversary of the original moon shot.
This event was a "wonderous work" as mentioned in verse 2. The text of the Psalm then transitions to the people being humbled.
At around 7:40 AM local time on July 17 in Indonesia, a pair of western hotels were bombed, presumably by Islamic terrorists. The Marriott and Ritz-Carlton both suffered massive blasts, initial reports indicated 9 dead and over 50 wounded.
This was about 9 hours after theoretical for this Psalm.
Verse 8 captures the dregs of wine and how the people will drink them, a match.
