26 Psalms 76
1In Judah is God known; his name is great in Israel.
2His tent is also in Salem, and his dwelling place in Zion.
3There, he broke the arms of the bow, the shield, and the sword, in the battle.

4You are all glorious and excellent from your mighty mountain.
5All the foolish of heart were dismayed; the mighty men of valor slept their last sleep.
6Their hands did not prevail because of your rebuke, God of Jacob; the horsemen are cast into a dead sleep.

7You, even you, are to be feared; who may stand in your sight once you are angry?
8You caused judgment to be heard from the skies; the land saw it and trembled
9when God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the land.

10For the wisdom of man will praise you; the remainder of his wrath you will restrain.
11Vow and fulfill your vows to Yahvah your God; let all who are around him bring presents to him who is to be revered.
12He will humble the pride of the rulers; he is dreaded by the kings of the land.

Netanyahu on Jerusalem

Headlines from Jerusalem included a public rebuke by Netanyahu of an American request to stop building homes in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu's position is supported by Verse 2 of this Psalm. Salem is short for Jerusalem, and Zion is the "City of David." Zion is now part of modern Jerusalem. The Psalm is specifically dealing with houses in Jerusalem, the subject of this headline.

Pope's Broken Arm

The Pope made his first appearance after breaking his wrist in a fall. He blessed roughly 2000 assembled in the town piazza while another 5000 watched on screens. Verse 3 mentions the broken arm.

Death of Cronkite

1 day ahead of this Psalm, the "most trusted man in America" former TV anchorman Walter Cronkite, died Friday evening in his home. He was age 92.

The Psalm deals with the death of the horsemen, their "last sleep." (See verses 5 and 6.) "Horsemen" may be an idiom for lookout, of which Cronkite would have been the best example in the USA.

Cronkite was run out of his anchor job in a dispute with his replacement which may be seen in the text of verse 7. His function, to speak over the airwaves, may also be hinted at in verse 8.

Cronkite is not new to the charts. He was interviewing Egypt's Saddat when the subject of peace between Israel and Egypt came up. Saddat offered to accept an invitation to Israel if asked. The Israelis in an apparent attempt to call Saddat's bluff, asked him to visit. He accepted and was on the plane to Israel within hours. The Israelis were ill prepared for a state visit of an Egyptian head of state who addressed the Israeli Knesset within days of Cronkite's first question.

Cronkite was also instrumental in voicing the American public's disgust of the Vietnam war.

Cronkite's passing seems to match a general death going on with the United States itself. The voice of reasonableness, and an independent press, being replaced with taking heads afraid to speak against Obama. Cronkite was a man of valor who has now passed, as per verse 5 of this Psalm.

Note: Death of Worlds Oldest Man

1 day ahead of this Psalm, Henry Allingham, a World War I veteran, dies at the age of 113. Verse 5 mentions the "last sleep" of the men of valor, and this would be an example.

Impact on Jupiter

Reports were also circulating that there had been some sort of impact on Jupiter, 15 years to the day from a similar set of impacts. The impact site was first see about 4 hours after theoretical for this Psalm. Verse 7 mentions judgement seen and heard from the skies. Verse 10 suggests this was God's wrath restrained, it could have come here.
