Revelation 8

This report is based on the Revelation 7 report that establishes the dates for the seals of Revelation chapter 7.

In that earlier report the 7th seal is given a date. From here, the Revelation chapter 8 dialog sets out a chronological riddle. This page attempts to give the dates.

Epoch, 7th seal

The 7th seal is Simeon’s seal, and it identifies France as the lost tribe of Israel. The following is the report for that tribe.

Biblically speaking a "seal" is a thing used to sign documents. Judah’s seal was taken from him as collateral for payment for services of a prostitute and the discovery of the seal later would let the prostitute off the hook and identify Judah. This story provides the proof text for use of seals to identify tribes. This is how the concept of a seal is used in Revelation 7.

Since seals are placed on paper, typically a scroll, in the middle, the sealing period should be 12,000 days wide with the seal date on the middle day. Since 12,000 is an even number the sealing date must be two days wide.

The start of the seal period is beyond the scope of this report. It basically begins at the end of the 7 times punishment.

The following report indicates the exact modern dates for each of the seal date periods indicated by the story in Revelation 7.

This seal date identifies France.

The event was the Battle of Wagram on July 5 and 6, 1809, when France defeated Austria. 300,000 men had gathered, 80,000 died.

This battle caused the end of the war of the Fifth Coalition and lead to the signing of the Treaty of Schönbrunn on October 14, 1809.

1/2 hour of silence

The parable in Revelation 8 begins with 1/2 hour of silence.

66 Revelation 8:1
1And when he opened the 7th seal, there was silence in the skies for about the space of 1/2 an hour.

Calculations...

Each hour in Jesus Passion was a replay of 1 week in his ministry. Days in ministry were replaying 30 years of Adam’s race, so... each hour in Jesus ministry were 210 historical years.

210 is not a multiple of 50 years, the calendar periodicity, so the ratio that drives the rate cannot be established here.

Running the periods up by 5, yielding 5 hours replaying 1050 years is at a level where the calendar is an even multiple of jubilees.

1050 years is 21 jubilees. There are 608 months in a Jubilee so there were 608 * 21 = 12,768 months replayed every 5 hours in Jesus’ Passion week.

1/2 hour in Jesus’ Passion is 1/10 of 5 hours. So, 1/2 hour in a prophetic sense is 12,768/10 = 1,276.8 months.

Note that 1276.8 months, expressed as days, is 30 * 1276.8 = 38,304 days.

Now, each trumpet is spread across another 1/2 hour. This is a reuse of the 1/2 hour that sets the context. This also causes the answer to be about 15 years between trumpets which is on the day/night cycle of the 30:1 version of Jesus ministry.

Each trumpet is thus 1/7 of the 1276.8 months, or 182.4 months apart.

Expressed as days, those months are 182.4 * 30 = 5472 days.

Alternative...

This same number of days can be calculated knowing the average year length of 364.8 days/year.

364.8 days/year * 15 years = 5472 days.

End Of Silence

Using the 7th seal epoch from above, and adding the prophetic 1/2 hour, or the historic 38,304 days, the end of this time is...

This is 2 months after the June 28, 1914, assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian empire.

This is 1 month after the first declaration of war in WWI, when on July 28, 1914, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia.

There were several other declarations of war in August of 1914, Germany-Russia, Germany-France, German invasion of Belgium Britain-Germany, and on August 23, Japan declared war on Germany.

Though this is interesting, the passage in Revelation 8 includes the word "about." There must be some other math factor on the time at the tail end of this interval that is more accurate.

Figuring About

There are several other places where "about" is used and these are often interesting whole numbers, 1/2 a day or some similar large even number. The "about" reference is not given a value here in Revelation 8.

For the rest of this report, an "about" value of 360 days is used.

This value is chosen because it is a whole amount of time, in this case 1 common year.

This value is also chosen because it pushes the 5th trumpet, see below, into the era of the first Persian gulf war, already a known prophetic story. That era includes the only other clear text references to 5 months, a prophetic replay of Noah’s flood.

Note that from the perspective of that war, a more interesting value would be 1.5 years, or so, but would not be a round whole number.

Also note the trumpets are mild until trumpet 5, which make sense since there is a limit on what can be done until after the sealing of the 144,000 itself over in the summer of 1990.

Note the entire offensive, which began earlier in the spring of 1915, would lead to national holidays, Anzac Day, in New Zealand and Australia. Both nations suffered higher casualty rates than other western powers in World War I.

Each of the trumpets in Revelation 11 is 1/7 of 1/2 of an hour apart.

Known fulfillments

Taking the dates for each trumpet from the table above, the following are the Bible’s texts and the known fulfillment events.

Trumpet 1

66 Revelation 8:7
7The 1st angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with water, and they were poured on the land; and 1/3rd part of the land was burnt up and 1/3rd part of the trees was burnt up and all green grass was burnt up.

August 13, 1930 is the date when 3 large fragments from the Perseid Meteor shower impacted in a remote area in Brazil.

This was the second largest known comet impact after the 1908 Tunguska impact in Russia.

This Brazilian impact caused the sun to turn red and a large area of tropical forest was burned away by the heat of the impact.

Trumpet 2

66 Revelation 8:8-9
8Then the 2nd angel sounded, and as it were, a great mountain aflame with fire was cast into the sea; and the 1/3rd part of the sea became blood;
9and the 1/3rd part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the 1/3rd part of the ships were destroyed.

August 6, 1945 is when Little Boy, the first nuclear weapon used in war, was dropped on Hiroshima.

Note also that the last great naval battles were at World War II.

Trumpet 3

66 Revelation 8:10-11
10And the 3rd angel sounded, and there fell a star from the skies, burning as though it were a lamp, and it fell on the 1/3rd part of the rivers and on the fountains of waters;
11and the name of the star is called wormwood; and the 1/3rd part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

July 30, 1960 10 days after the first firing of 2 Polaris class of nuclear missiles from the nuclear powered USS George Washington, the USS George Washington fired the 3rd and 4th Polaris missiles at a target over 1000 miles down range in the south Pacific. This firing lead to the deployment of this class of nuclear powered nuclear armed submarine.

Note, this was in the middle of a nuclear test ban that lasted from 1958 until 1962. This same sub would fire a live nuclear warhead into the same range, for an in-air test, in 1962.

Trumpet 4

66 Revelation 8:12
12And the 4th angel sounded, and the 1/3rd part of the sun was eclipsed and the 1/3rd part of the moon and the 1/3rd part of the stars, so that the 1/3rd part of them was darkened, and the day was darkened for 1/3rd part of it, and the night likewise.

July 24, 1975 is when the last flight of the American Apollo program landed (splashed down) after a link up with a Russian Soyuz capsule.

As part of the trip an artificial eclipse was created in order to photograph the sun’s aura.

Trumpet 5

Trumpet 5 is preceded with a warnings about woes.

66 Revelation 8:13-9:0
13And I looked, and heard an eagle, having a tail red as it were blood, flying through the middle of the skies, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to those who live on the land, by reason of the other sounds of the trumpets of the 3 angels, which are yet to sound.

This warning is likely a reference to the limited amount of damage possible until after the sealing of the 144,000 itself up in June, 1990.

66 Revelation 9:1-12
1And the 5th angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from the skies on the land; and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, like smoke belching from a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3And out of the smoke came locusts on the land; and to them was given power, like the scorpions of the land have power.
4And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the land, nor any green thing, nor any tree; but only those men who do not have the seal of god on their brows.
5And they were commanded that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented 5 months; and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.
6So, in those days, men will seek death and will not find it; and will desire to die, and death will flee from them.
7And the shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads were, as it were, crowns like gold, and their faces were like faces of men.
8And they had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions.
9And they had breastplates as though they were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
10And they had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails; and they had power to hurt men 5 months.
11And they had a king over them who was the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek his name is Apollyon.
12The 1st woe is passed; and look, 2 more woes follow after.

July 17, 1990 is when Iraq accused Kuwait of flooding the oil markets. This precipitated a drop in the US Stock market, a sudden call by the Pentagon for military exercises and then the early August invasion of Kuwait by Iraq.

The war itself would follow the story of Noah’s flood and spread out over 40 days of fighting and 150 days until the UN sanctions regime was put in place.

Note: There was a July 16, 1990, earthquake in the Philippines that would kill 6000 and was probably a precursor to the Pinatubo eruption.

Trumpet 6

Hurricane Kitrina destroyed the mount of the Mississippi, which is the "Euphrates of the United States."

66 Revelation 9:13-14
13And the 6th angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before god,
14saying to the 6th angel which had the trumpet, Loose the 4 angels which are bound by the great river Euphrates.

66 Revelation 9:15
15And the 4 angels were loosed, those which were prepared for that hour and for that day and for that month and for that year, so that they might slay the 1/3rd part of men.

The "men" or "man" symbol is closely associated with the United States.

66 Revelation 9:16-10:0
16And the number of the army of the horsemen was 200,000 1,000; I heard the number of them.
17And thus I saw the horses in the vision and those who sat on them, and they had breastplates of fire and of jacinth and of brimstone; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions, and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
18And by these 3 plagues was the 1/3rd part of men slain, by the fire and by the smoke and by the brimstone which issued out of their mouths.
19For the power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails were like serpents and had heads, and with them they do harm.
20And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues neither repented of the works of their hands, that is to say, the worship of devils and idols of gold and silver and brass and stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear,
21nor repented of their murders nor of their witchcraft nor of their fornication nor of their thefts.

Trumpet 7

The following has not happened yet.

66 Revelation 11:15-12:5
15And the 7th angel sounded, and there were great rumblings of thunders saying, The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdom of god and of his anointed; and he will reign forever and ever.
16And the 4 and 20 elders who sat before the throne of god on their seats fell on their faces and worshiped god,
17saying, We give thanks to you, master god almighty, who is and was, because you have taken to yourself your great power and have reigned.
18And the nations were angry, and your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and to reward your servants, the prophets, and the saints and those who revere your name, small and great; and to destroy those who corrupt the land.
19And the temple of god was opened in the skies, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his contract; and there were lightnings and thunderings and voices and an earthquake and a great hailstorm.


1And a great sign was seen in the skies, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of 12 stars;
2and, being pregnant, she cried, travailing in birth, and delivered in pain.
3And there appeared another sign in the skies; and look, there was a great fiery dragon, having 7 heads and 10 horns, and 7 crowns on his heads.
4And his tail cut off 1/3rd part of the stars of the skies and cast them to the land; and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered, to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5And she brought forth a male child, who was to shepherd all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to god, and to his throne.
