Sabbath Calculations for Jesus' Ministry Year

Jesus' public ministry was a 30:1 compressed replay of Adam's history. This report indicates the year ranges that follow the Sabbath pattern. Useful for understanding Luke's Sabbath day parables.

Background

The New Testament is notorious for not including full dates for when Jesus did various things. This could be for any of several reasons:

• The Chronology of Jesus public ministry just didn't matter to the writer.

• There wasn't meaning in the chronology.

• Jesus was following a master schedule so there was no reason to provide chronological details in the narritive.

The idea that there was a master schedule makes the most sense because Jesus was quite deliberate in his ministry actions and because the Book of Mark can be shown to be a chronological master key for mapping parables to their application in history. Things get even more interesting with the Book of Luke because Luke begins with the statement that he has made an orderly (or in-order) account of Jesus' ministry.

If this is the case, what schedule was Jesus following?

It is clear that the overall structure of Jesus' ministry was following a set of 4 time references. Those references are explained in another article here. The point of that discussion is that the overall length of Jesus' ministry and that placement in historical time can 1) be known and 2) followed a 30:1 compressed replay of the time from Adam's fall until the time of the general resurrection of Adam's race.

That said, the various sabbath days when Jesus performed miracles within this ministry year must 1) land on Saturdays within that ministry time and must 2) follow in parable form from some event from the historical chronology.

Strategy Here

The Saturdays in that ministry year each map back to a 30 year period in the history of Adam's race. They map back with a known pattern that the following table specifies more completely.

Starting point is this: Day 42 in Jesus' ministry year was the first day in the 390 days of the Isaiah 61:1 promised year of favor. This was the day Jesus got up on a Sabbath in the synogog and read from Isaiah.

Since each of the 41 previous days were following sets of 30 years from Adam's chronology, there must have been 41 * 30 = 1230 years before the 30 years represented by the events of this day.

Note that Jesus' first Sabbath reading represented years 1231 AA through 1260 AA. These numbers are curious all by themselves because they represent a "time, 2 times and 1/2 time" as seen in much of th prophetic litterature of the Bible.

Also: A sabbath week at a 30:1 ratio follows a pattern that has a 210 year periodicity. So: Every 210 years each way from this 30 year windowis also period in history that would land on a Sabbath day in Jesus' ministry year.

Notes

Day 1 in Jesus ministry is the day he was baptized. Not listed in the table above this was a map to years 1-30 which was the fall of Adam.

Day 42 is when Jesus got up in the Synagog and announced the start of the year of favor.

Until further study it is unclear which might be the ones when Jesus is mentioned in Luke, but day 301 above is a strong candidate. This is the years 9001 - 9030. The first 20 years of this period in history is Jacob in Laban's service. He began the period with a dream of a ladder to heaven.

Also curious is day number 350. This is the second temple, Ezra's temple, which was built before the 10 fold jubilee at his era.

The 62 weeks total public ministry time is the fulfillment of the 62 weeks from Daniel chapter 9.
